Is AskMedix a substitute for seeing a doctor?
No. AskMedix provides medical education and general guidance only. Our responses are not a replacement for in-person clinical evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment. We always recommend consulting a local physician for your specific medical needs.
Are the physicians on AskMedix verified?
Yes. Every physician undergoes a rigorous credential verification process. We verify medical degrees, board certifications, active licenses, and professional standing before any physician may respond to questions.
How is my personal health information protected?
All data is encrypted using AES-256 standards. We are fully HIPAA and GDPR compliant. Your information is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
How quickly will I receive a response?
Standard questions receive a response within 48 hours. Urgent questions are prioritised and typically answered within 12 hours. Our physicians review all submissions carefully before responding.
How much does AskMedix cost?
Reading our health articles and educational content is completely free. Submitting a question to a physician may involve a fee depending on the service tier you choose; pricing is always shown before you confirm.
Can I request a specific doctor?
Yes. On the submission form you may request a specific physician from our panel. If they are available and your question falls within their specialty, they will be assigned as the primary responder.
Are services available in other languages?
Yes. AskMedix currently supports Urdu, Arabic, French, and Swahili in addition to English. Please indicate your preferred language on your submission form.
What should I do in an emergency?
Do not use AskMedix for emergencies. If you have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.
