Advertising helps keep AskMedix free to read — but it never buys influence over what we publish. This policy explains the strict wall between our medical content and any commercial relationship.
Our Core Rules
- Editorial independence. Advertisers and sponsors have no input into article topics, content, or conclusions. Our Editorial Board operates entirely independently of the business side.
- Clear labelling. Anything paid — ads, sponsored placements, affiliate links — is clearly labelled as such and visually distinct from editorial content.
- No endorsement. The presence of an advertisement is not a recommendation by AskMedix or its physicians.
- Health-safe ads only. We reject ads for tobacco, unproven "miracle" cures, misleading health claims, and any product that contradicts established medical evidence.
- Privacy first. Ad partners must comply with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.
Sponsored Content
If we ever publish sponsored educational content, it is (1) clearly marked "Sponsored", (2) still fact-checked against our Editorial Policy, and (3) never presented as an independent physician recommendation.
Affiliate Links
Some pages may contain affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase. This never affects which products we mention or how we describe them, and such pages carry a disclosure notice.
Reporting a Problem Ad
If you see an advertisement on AskMedix that seems misleading or inappropriate, please report it to ads@askmedix.com. We review every report and remove non-compliant ads.
