Medical knowledge evolves, and even careful teams can make mistakes. What matters is how quickly and transparently they are fixed. This policy describes exactly how AskMedix handles errors, updates, and corrections.
Types of Changes
Correction
A factual error (a wrong dose range, statistic, or claim) is fixed as soon as it is verified — typically within 24–48 hours — and the article gains a visible correction note explaining what changed.
Update
When new evidence or guidelines change best practice, the article is revised, re-reviewed by a physician, and its "Last Updated" date is refreshed.
Clarification
If wording is accurate but potentially confusing, we clarify it. Minor clarifications and typo fixes do not carry a correction note.
Retraction
In the rare case an article cannot be salvaged, we retract it and leave a notice explaining why, rather than silently deleting it.
How to Report an Error
Email editors@askmedix.com with the article link and the issue. Reports go straight to the Editorial Board; significant clinical errors are prioritised and verified by a physician reviewer before the fix is published.
Our Commitments
- Speed. Verified clinical errors are corrected within 48 hours.
- Transparency. Substantive corrections are disclosed on the article itself.
- Accountability. Every article shows its author, medical reviewer, publication date, and last-updated date.
- Re-review. Published health content is periodically re-checked under our Medical Review Process.
